Sebastian is a conservation scientist studying the impacts of energy scenarios on global biodiversity. He has a background in sustainability consultancy, with two years’ experience working at UNEP-WCMC in Cambridge at the science-policy interface.

Research interests
Sebastian is ultimately interested in reconciling different global policy goals prioritising biodiversity (Aichi Targets), carbon emissions (Paris Agreement) and development (Sustainable Development Goals). He is currently modelling land use changes necessitated by a large expansion in area required for renewable energy using energy mix targets detailed in national strategies.
